Nana and the boys at a family reunion

Jacob's face is classic in this one. I can't believe that all 3 boys are looking at the camera!!! That NEVER happens!!!

Anyone want to buy a house???

We are getting sooo much closer to moving into our new home, but our current house hasn't sold yet!!! Of course, the market in Columbus isn't that of what you would find in the larger cities, so we certainly took that into account and we knew there was a possibility of paying two mortgage payments for a bit. However, it sure would be nice NOT to have to do that and to have a big fat chunk of change to put toward the new house!!!

It just ain't easy keeping a house ready to show at a moments notice when you have 3 monkey-boys running around!!!

It will all work out and, no matter what, the new one will be done and we will probably move in the next 6-8 weeks. We are in the process of getting the septic system done ($$$$$). They are about to start painting the outside of the house and have almost finished the inside. They still have to put down all of the tile on the floors and vanities, granite in the kitchen, and carpet. We don't have any tirlets yet so that will probably come soon. The finish-up electric and a/c needs to be done also. Hey, maybe it will be closer to two months!!!

I'm starting to pack some stuff up. I keep feeling like we are months away and that we have time, but it's getting closer and closer. YOu know how it is when you have something really important going on in life and it feels like it will never be done and then as that time approaches you still keep feeling like it's so far away.

Anyway, it will be great to get out into the country with the boys and close to Nana. We are so fortunate to have the opportunity to build this wonderful home. I think that we will enjoy it for many years. We've got a huge front porch for some porch sittin. Ralph's got a great shop for tinkering around and we've got plans (and a slab) for a FORT!!

Round Rock Express/Texas Rangers

This has been quite a summer for baseball in the Herron house. Ralph and Austin went to see the Texas Rangers play the Astros and had a blast. There seats were just behind homeplate, so the little boys and I could see them on T.V. back at the hotel.

We saw a Round Rock Express game for the first time this past weekend. It was really great for families. They had alot of stuff for the kids to do. They also had $3 snocones. Now when we make free snocones at home, the kids always eat them, but get a $3 snocone at a ballgame and they just can't seem to finish it. They had about 18 flavors that the kids could apply themselves and it may be that chocolate, grape, pineapple, rootbeer, raspberry, coconut, strawberry snocones, just don't taste that good!!!

We also went to Six Flags while in Arlington and I'll post a pic or two from that later.

If things work out, Austin will go with Barry next week to see the Yankees play in New York!!

The Old House

Since most of you have never seen the old house before, I thought I would post a couple pics of it too. I will miss this house. There are few surfaces in it that we have not touched and hopefully improved. It has been the only house that Jacob and Nicholas have known.

The New House

I don't think that I have sent out any pictures of the new house yet. I have wanted to, but for some reason haven't found the time. We should actually be finished with it in the next 6-8 weeks!! It is so hard for me to believe that. It just seems like a dream. I haven't moved anywhere in 7 years!! We are going to be just down the street from Nana so the boys are so excited. Here are some pics and I will post new ones when it's done. The first pic is the front of the house, the second is the back.

Trying this blogging thing out

It seems that everyone is blogging now. I want a place where I can show pics of the kiddos and whatever is going on in our lives, but not fill up inboxes, especially for those who don't know the wonders of DSL. Speaking of that brings a tear to my eye. We are just about ready to move to the country where high speed is not yet available. My internet activity may drastically slow down. Which is sad because at times it seems to be my only glimpse of the world outside of cartoons, diapers, and baby food!!!
We'll see how it goes. I'm hoping to get some pictures uploaded at sometime today (perhap naptime).
